Study and Validation of Orthodiphenols in Olive Oil According to French Standard NF T 90-210 May 2009Keywords: Validation , NF T 90-210 , virgin olive oil , orthodiphenols , molybdate , absorbance Abstract: Several physical and chemical methods were adopted for the determination of orthodiphenols in olive oil but they have never been subject to validation. This work aims to validate a method for extracting orthodiphenols in olive oil and their determination after reaction with molybdate and absorbance measurement according to French standard NF 90-210 May 2009, based on the study of the calibration function. The results reported valid and reliable method for the determination of orthodiphenols in olive oil at λ = 370 nm. Preliminary results of the validation to λ = 420 nm are presented and interpreted.
