UM ESTUDO TOPONíMICO DAS CIDADES DAS TRILHAS DA BANDEIRA: MARIANA, OURO PRETO E SUAS HISTóRIAS DE Fé

This article aims to investigate the name motivation of the main Catholic Churches in Mariana and Ouro Preto, cities of Minas Gerais. It also intends to know the reasons which influenced in the process of naming the neighborhoods, villages, streets and squares. One believes, however, that through the observation of the sociocultural and linguistics aspects can perceive how the community manifests its culture
