This research seeks to elucidate a pertinent question in our educational practice, the importance of the graphs in the learning-teaching process of Geography. The aim of this study is to point the relevance of working with graphs in the classroom, since they are presented in educational books as an instrument that facilitates the comprehension of data about the society in which the student is included. Furthermore, this type of representation has been used by universities as a way of evaluating the students’ knowledge during the “vestibular” exam. Thus, by applying a questionnaire, this research intends to diagnose how graphs have been approached in the teaching of Geography. A presente pesquisa busca elucidar uma quest o pertinente em nossa prática pedagógica: a importancia dos gráficos no processo ensino-aprendizagem de Geografia. Esse estudo tem por finalidade apontar a relevancia de se trabalhar com gráficos em sala de aula, uma vez que estes s o apresentados em livros didáticos como instrumento facilitador na compreens o dos dados inerentes à sociedade na qual o aluno está inserido. Além disso, este tipo de representa o vem sendo bastante utilizado pelas universidades, como forma de avaliar o conhecimento dos alunos no momento do vestibular. Portanto, pretende-se diagnosticar, através da aplica o do questionário, como vêm sendo abordados os gráficos presentes no conteúdo de Geografia.
