Rolul resurselor personale n starea de bine a angaja ilor: implicarea n munc i epuizarea profesionalKeywords: personal resources , self-efficiency , psychological needs , involvement in work , burnout Abstract: The study is based on the extended Job Demands-Resources model and Self-Determination Theory to identify the role of personal resources. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of self-efficiency and psychological needs in relationship with work engagement and burnout. Data was collected using an evidence type questionnaire applied to a sample of 221 employees of a production company (82.1% women). The hypotheses were tested by conducting a multiple hierarchical regression analysis. Results show that personal resources help to explain the involvement in work (vigor, dedication and absorption) and professional burnout (exhaustion and depersonalization). Thus, self-efficacy is positively associated with work engagement and burnout as well as their dimensions; the need for autonomy and competence contribute to work engagement and burnout. The findings highlight the importance of employee personal resources in adapting to the organizational dynamic.
