Teoria do Agente, Teoria da Firma e os Mecanismos de Governan a Corporativa no Brasil

The objective of this paper is to give a contribution to research in corporate governance byreviewing the literature on Agent and Firm Theories. From the literature review, the workfocuses on the connection between the theories studied and the types of contracts and thetools to align the interests of the parties. Finally, it is a reflection on the governancemechanisms used in Brazil to ease conflicts between the firm and the market andencourage staff to adopt a conduct that will make the market more efficient.
