La estética de los nuevos monumentos: Estrategias de desvío, injertos y palimpsestos sociales

The purpose of this report is to expose some aspects of the formal and ideological transformation of the commemorative sculpture in the context of the contemporary public space. Taking into account the modernist and avant-garde inheritances and the most recent artistic events, some new memorials will be examined reasoning on their aesthetic and social effects.
