Léxico gramaticalizado y lengua formulaica: algunas precisiones al enfoque léxicoKeywords: lexical combinations , collocation , lexical-syntactic restrictions , teaching and learning vocabulary , Spanish as foreign language Abstract: With the aim of establishing a more efficient way of dealing with vocabulary in the classroom (L2) which contributes to the production of correct lexical sequences --without falling into the overgeneralizations of the traditional grammar rules--, certain concepts concerning the lexical-syntax interface have been clarified and modified. Secondly, taking account of the finds in formulaic language which highlight the omnipresence of semi preconstructed phrases or lexical chunks in both, native language acquisition and production, the differences between the combinations based on systematic restrictions and those on lexical preferences will be established in order to make the most of their combinatory potential in the L2 classroom.
