DIAGNóSTICO DA VIDA úTIL E DO BALAN O HíDRICO PARA O LAGO DE JUTURNAíBA, BACIA DO RIO S O JO O, ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIRO

The main purpose of this study is to assess the water availability of Juturnaíba Lake located inS o Jo o river basin, Rio de Janeiro State. In addition to local demand, there is the possibility of using thewater to supply the Petrochemical Complex of Rio de Janeiro (COMPERJ), located in the municipality ofItaboraí, by watershed transposition. From the data updated in 2008, the new pool level x reservoir surfacex capacity curves were calculated in order to estimate the useful life of the reservoir, considering the laminardeposition of sediments in the lake. The regulated discharge allowed determining the water balance for theactual scenario to subsidize the allocation decisions of water use in the Juturnaíba Lake.
