CORRELATION AND PATH COEFFICIENT ANALYSIS OF RICE CULTIVARS DATA

In this paper, correlation and path coefficient analysis of rice cultivars data has been carried outto determine the nature of relation between grain yield and yield components by partitioning thecorrelation coefficients between grain yield and its components into direct and indirect effects. In the pathcoefficientanalysis, panicle number, panicle weight (g), 1000-grain weight (g), days to 50% floweringand seed to seed days are considered as causal factors and their direct and indirect effects on grain yieldare estimated under three experimental trials viz. AVT-2 (BT), AVT-2 (IM) and AVT-2 (ME).
