Factory Housing in the 1950s and Subjectivity Re-Building: A Case Study on a State-owned Factory in Beijing

在文字史料和口述史的基础上，梳理了北京一家历史悠久的国营工厂M厂在1950年代的住宅修建、分配和使用情况，呈现空间革命的历史条件和结构细节。指出从住宅延伸出来的空间实践和表述，见证了社会主义工人治国政体以及社会主义现代性在城市的空间重组，也影响了社会重构和社会主义新人重塑等历史进程。住宅反映并参与塑造的社会主义主体性理念，包括个人在社会中达成自我实现等，让1950年代工人住宅在今天仍具有启发意义。
：Based on a case study on the housing of state-owned factory workers in the 1950s, the paper illustrates building, allocation and usage of factory housing, and presents the historic conditions as well as structural details of space revolution in that period. It argues that the spatial practice and representation constitute the history of the re-structure of society and the re-shape of new individuals. The factory’s housing system reveals that Socialist subjectivity defines the individual development in a social way, therefore the case is still a significant reference nowadays
