Examination Of The Job Satisfaction Levels Of Kickboxing Trainers

Aim: Today, when sports become a lifestyle, the number of people with detailed information about kickboxing from Far East sports is quite a little. This makes important the work to be done about kickboxing trainers who are contributors to the development and spread of kickboxing. With this study, it was aimed to determine the job satisfaction level and basic requirements of kickboxing trainers in Turkey and to propose solutions by determining the negativity. Material and Methods: The population of this research consists of the trainers of the Turkey Kickboxing Federation. The sample of this research consists of a total of 78 numbers of trainers which were volunteers to attend to this research. The job satisfaction scale developed by ？etinkanat (1995) and proven as reliable was used as data collection tool. SPSS 16.0 for Windows was used for evaluation of the data. One-way ANOVA was used to analyze the data. The level of significance was taken as 0.05. Values at level 0,01 were also indicated. Results: Significant difference was found in physical environment, wage and personnel sub-dimensions between kickboxing trainers' perceptions of job satisfaction according to seniority (p<0,05). Significant difference was also found in physical environment (p<0,05) and in wage and personel (p<0,01) among the levels of job satisfaction according to the income levels of the trainers. Conclusion: In our country, there was no different study on the job satisfaction of kickboxing trainers, it makes this study important. However, it is possible to find study done with different sample groups. Ramazano？lu (2006) stated that the only discontent is related to wage management. Balc？ (1985) also stated that managers provided the lowest satisfaction for salary. In conclusion, In conclusion, our findings also show the importance and necessity of efforts to improve the economic situation of kickboxing trainers
