COLLEGE STUDENTS’ AWARENESS ABOUT DISASTER AND EMERGENCY: A SAMPLE OF KANDIRA VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

As is known, Disaster and Emergency Management is all of managerial functions which are essential to decrease vulnerability and cope with disasters for comunities against hazards. It is a process that is guarding from hazards, decreasing risks in short, it is a process that is including whole studies from one disaster to other disaster. At this process, basic aim is to provide developing comunities that can cope with hazard, disaster and emergency situations, have this capacity, less vulnerability and more delicate. It is necessary that decreasing harmful impact of hazard, disaster and emergency situations on the humans, structures, substructure and economy, be prepared against these situatins, developing response methods and percepts, repeare reconstruction. While make these preparations, it is necessary that be must cooperation with all partners who are centralized managements, local governments, private sector, un？versities, folk. This will provide less vulnerability and more delicate. Disaster and Emergency Management partners’s trivet, folk and universities’s important denominator, college students are sample of this study.
