User Evaluation on University Campus Landscape Planning: Bingol University

The university campuses have many functions, especially students, such as the provision of educational services in appropriate physical environments and meeting the recreation needs of all beneficiaries. For this reason, when planning university campuses many factors should be considered. In this study, it is aimed to determine the basic criteria that a university campus should carry in terms of aesthetics and functionality, to analyze the current situation of the campus of Bing？l University and to reveal the user requests within the framework of campus development. Qualitative and quantitative research methods were used in the study and a questionnaire was created as a data collection tool. The questionnaire was applied to 262 people from administrative, academic and administrative staff. In the survey study, the average of the university campus consisting of 23 questions was 2.39, the average of the 12 items consisted of 2.37 and 11 adjective matches and the mean adjective pairs were 2.57. The research results showed that the university campus cannot meet the needs of the user in many respects. Especially social-cultural activity areas, hobby areas, educational areas and sporting activity areas were found to be insufficient by the users. As a result, it has been proposed to develop the research area by considering landscape planning and design criteria and user demands
