According To The Turkish Press Social Aids And The Subsistence Of Istanbul During The World War II.Keywords: ?stanbul,Hayat Pahal?l???,?a?e,Yard?m Abstract: During the World War II. the economic situation of the governments was crucially important. The XX. century wars were controlled by the strong economy even led to big problems. The most powerful economies were even schocked in World War II as in World War I. The issue of subsistence that emerged was on of the first problems to be solved. To this end, the government took the decision to seize the grain and legumes at the farmer’s expense and increased the amount of crops seized by expanding this practice considerably during the course of the war. However, the fact that the fees paid were below the market price, farmers were not satisfied and farmers started to sell their products in black market with ambition to make money.The sales made in his way incresed the price of the necessities and created serious problems especially in big cities such as ?stanbul. Although the goverment had applied various measures to prevent price increase, it could not be successed and in the years 1942-1943 the concepts of the black market, the profiteering etc. occupied the agenda of the country. When the daily newspapers are examined, it appears that the daily news about these topics seen on the headlines almost every day.This study, examines particularly measures taken against the issue of the subsistence problem that started with the World War II, the established organizations and the aids of these organizations to the people of ?stanbul
