Evaluation of Pre-School Education Administrators’ Levels of Leadership Roles According to Teachers’ Perceptions

Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the opinions of pre-school teachers about the realization of the leadership roles of the principals working in pre-school education institutions. The survey model was used in this research. The population of the study consisted of 310 preschool teachers working in preschool education institutions in ?anakkale in the 2014 - 2015 academic year. The research sample consisted of 210 teachers randomly selected. The data were collected by means of a scale that consisting of 8 questions and 5 options. Data analysis was carried out using the SPSS program. As a result, according to the teachers' opinions, it was seen that managers “often” exhibit their leadership roles. To sum up, it can be stated that preschool education administrators behaved with a leadership role in the academic sense when carrying out their management activities
