Saib-i Tebrizi and XVII. Century Indian Style in Azerbaijan Lyric Poetry

Saib-i Tebriz？, one of the most valuable poerts of Azerbaijan in XVII century was very famous in India, Iran and whole Ottaman empire. Known poetry of Saib-i Tebriz？ include 120 000 couplet verses in Persian and only 18 verses in Turkish. The poet is the representative of a new Indian style in poetry. Many Azerbaijan poets as Vehid-i Kazvin？, Vaiz-i Kazvin？, Murtazakulu Sultan ？amlu under influence of Saib-i Tebriz？ became Indian style poets writing in native Turkish. In this article, on the basis of the still unexplored Turkic poems of the 17th century Azerbaijani poet Saiba Tabrizi and his followers, which were written in “Indian style”, the information on the specific features of this style is given. The study was conducted comparative historical method. A method of comparative analysis and generalization was introduced
