New Generation Digital Reading Experience And Future Of E-book

Discussions that the recent developments in the e-book are not at the necessary level brings the future of e-book on the agenda. Thus, a useful discussion environment has emerged for the e-book and digital reading experience of e-book. The hybrid book, interactive digital narrative, and experimental approaches to the social reading experience that emerged as the results of e-book de- velopments have an impact on reading habits. It is necessary for the actors in the publishing sector, including the designers, to focus on these habits and give a credit to themselves. Holding this approach in this paper, digital reading experience that emerges from the next ge- neration of digital formats and the role of the designer who is the main actor in designing this experience are explained, and the necessity of sectoral and academic research, open innovation and information exchange for research and application in the field of digital publishing are emphasized
