Azerbaijan Pioneer Organization and the Children in the Construction Process of Soviet SocietyKeywords: Pioner te?kilat?,Sovyet ?ocuk hareketi,Sovyetle?tirme,Sovyet Azerbaycan Abstract: Pioneer organization was a communnist child organization of the Soviet Union for children of age 10–14. The main aim of the organization was, through ideological education of children, to create a new socialist society. The first pioneer unit in the Soviet Union was established in Russia in 1922. Pioneer troops rapidly have been established in the whole Soviet Union. The first pioneer unit in Azerbaijan was established in Baku in 1922. From 1923 pioneer units were organized in cities other than Baku. Young pioneers of Azerbaijan working in the kolkhoz, assisting the educational process in schools, organizing activities to help the Soviet army, served in the establishment of the communist order. The children in Azerbaijan have also played an active role in the construction of the new society. These activities included religious struggle and anti-illiteracy campaign. Based on primary sources such as archival documents obtained from RGASP? (Rossisky Gosudarstvenn?y Arhiv Sotsialno-Politicheskoi ?storii), This study will discuss the establishment of the pioneer organization in Azerbaijan and will also explain how the pioneer organization affected the process of construction of Soviet Society
