QUALITY AND SOFTWARE STANDARDS IN SOFTWARE: A SCIENTOMETRIC RESEARCH

The aim of this study is to present the status of the related literature in the field of software quality from an analytical perspective through the scientometric analyses of the research articles, which were published between 1975 and 2017 in the database of Web of Science. The dataset in the scope of this study were collected between 22.09.2017 and 23.09.2017, 1353 research articles were obtained for the analyses including the words "software and quality *" or "software and standard *" in their titles. As a result of the scientometric analysis, several statistics were obtained in different dimensions, such as the distribution of the covered publications, distribution by years, the country distributions, the most preferred and cited journals, the leading and most published authors, the university distributions of the authors, and keyword distributions. It is considered that this study will contribute both to the researchers working in this field and to the literature by revealing the tendencies in the field of the software quality from different perspectives over the selected data source
