Abstract:

In the process of new democratic revolution (1921-1949) and socialist revolution (1949-1978), reform and opening-up (1978-2012), and national building in the new era (2012-present), the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee (the Communist Party Committee in Zhejiang province, China) (abbreviated for “the Committee” below) has gradually formed a progressive governance method and revolutionary culture. The two complement each other, guiding the revolution of Zhejiang people in fields of politics, production, social governance, etc. in order to make one brilliant achievement after another. This article explores the revolutionary cultural guidance behind Zhejiang’s great leap from liberation, to rising-up, and then to prosperity. It tells how people-first governing idea, truth-seeking and pragmatic governing style, and scientific, democratic, and lawful governing approach of the Committee are related with revolutionary theory, spirit and achievements. It describes specific measures taken by the Committee in Chinese Modern history, and discusses how Zhejiang revolutionary culture helps political parties to govern and to promote social development, and construct the progressive international communication discourse of the Committee governance, so as to provide Zhejiang wisdom and solutions for national and international governance.
