Administra？？o universitária: em busca de uma epistemologia

the purpose of this article is to carry out an epistemological analysis of some issues related to university administration. to this end, we selected texts concerning the last five decades, which were analyzed in chronological order. these texts were intentionally chosen, taking into account the extent and mainly their national and international importance (being part of an international event linked to an international body, for example). based on the reading of these texts, an analysis was made, starting from the assumption that the university administration epistemology converges with the epistemology of administration, so much so that it may be considered a sub- field of the latter. we conclude that, in order to account for the complexity inherent in all organizations, including universities, a critical rethinking of the administration theories is necessary.
